Thurrock Lunch Club

Thurrock Lunch Club meets on the Church premises during the school holidays and provides free lunches for local children and families.

The club is overseen by Community Church Chafford Hundred and is part of their 180 project to provide holistic responses to the challenges facing people in the local community. It is run by volunteers from the local churches and wider community, andis part of the national Make Lunch initiative.

As well as providing free, hot and nutritious meals to children and families, each Lunch Club session also includes a variety of activities, including games and crafts, as well as an opportunity for parents to talk with a support worker.

Thurrock Lunch Club aims to open on most days during the Half Term holidays and at least 3 times a week at Easter, Christmas and over the Summer.

To find out exactly when the Lunch Club is open or to offer to volunteer contact the Chafford Hundred Community Church office on 01375 484 101 or by visiting their website here.
