As a Christian Church, Jesus is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that he came into the world to show us what God is like and to make it possible for us to live the way God created us to.
On a Sunday we welcome people from more than a dozen different countries of origin and our doors are open to all regardless of ability, age, ethnicity, gender or anything else. We believe that Jesus shows us a God who makes everyone welcome and we seek to do the same.
Our meetings on Sundays aim to help us know Jesus better and so shape us into people who are both more like him and better equipped to share his love with others. You can read more about what we do on Sunday mornings here.
We are a Baptist Church and part of Baptists Together in the UK. With our fellow Baptists we agree:
- That our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, is the sole and absolute authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and that each Church has liberty, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to interpret and administer His laws.
- That Christian Baptism is the immersion in water into the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, of those who have professed repentance towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who ‘died for our sins according to the Scriptures; was buried, and rose again the third day’.
- That it is the duty of every disciple to bear personal witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to take part in the evangelisation of the world.
